Bio

Adam moved to Vermont from his native Virginia in 2003, initially living in Burlington and working as a teacher and a builder.

He briefly located to the west for law school, before returning to Vermont in 2013 to begin his legal career. For eight years, Adam worked independently to assist other attorneys with aspects of civil litigation practice, which included a wide variety of practice areas and complexity – including property disputes, personal injury, contract and business disputes, and complex class actions. Adam began working with Michael Russell in this capacity in 2017.

In 2022, Adam joined Pease Mountain Law, PLLC as an Associate Attorney, where he focuses on estate planning, real estate transactions, and business formation, contracting, and counseling.

Adam received his J.D. from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law in 2014, graduating magna cum laude. During law school, he interned with the Honorable Scott Matheson of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Honorable Robert J. Shelby of the Federal District Court, District of Utah. Adam attended the Vermont Law School as a third-year visiting student where he interned in the Vermont Attorney General Civil Rights Unit and worked for KSE Partners, a government relations firm working in the Vermont Statehouse. During law school, Adam also served two years on the Utah Law Review, co-authored Developing Professional Skills: Contracts (2013), and authored a law review article on Curbing Worker Misclassification in Vermont (39 Vt.L.Rev. Dec. 2014).

Adam and his family reside in Huntington where he enjoys maintaining a homestead, bike touring, telemark skiing, and canoe camping. Adam is the father of two young children and an active member of his community through town government and non-profit boards.
